Day 149-May 29, 2014

Well, tomorrow is my birthday and the kids are going to my mom's. My stepdaughter has been up for a couple of days with my grandbaby and it is been really nice. Things seem to be getting better. I think I am going to try crocheting again. I think I was just psyching myself out about it and getting frustrated. I am going to just hook and see what turns out. Hopefully I can get something made and on my website. I am going to make a few things and then post on there and from here out nothing goes on there that is not ready to ship. I have to stop getting things on there and then waiting on orders to make them. That is just going to stress me out more and I will end up with another all night job when having to work the next day. I have to get my head together.

Day 148-May 28, 2014

I have been looking at things to make but these last 24 hours have been distracting. My stepdaughter and granddaughter are at my house for a few days and then we are getting to go away for the weekend for a tournament and for my birthday. I am going to take some yarn and my crochet hook with me to get some things made (or try to) and hopefully have some new things to put on my website.

I did have a website on www.storenvy.com and it is a good site to use but not that popular and have had it on there for a while (like more than a year) and so I closed it and opened one on www.etsy.com and we will see how this one works. Here is the website if you would like to check it out.

Day 147-May 27, 2014

Having to get up for work this morning was horrible. I was up until 5am this morning getting those teachers gifts done and then had to get up at 7am to go to work. I am on my second cup of coffee and still feel like crap. I want to be a sahm so bad and have my own business from home but seems like nothing is helping. I am so discouraged and feeling so horrible. I am so tired of trying and still getting nowhere. What is the point? I don't know enough people to really help me get started. I can't do home parties and feel like I am just lost.

Day 146-May 26, 2014

It is Memorial Day and my oldest daughter and I saw a movie and went to eat and look around the mall while my youngest went out on the boat. Still have to finish the teachers gifts so that the kids can give them to them when they pick up report cards. I am getting really discouraged. I have been advertising my business and my website and there are only a hand full of people looking each day and no one buying anything. I don't know what else to do. I know all of the items are plastic canvas and not many people like that kind of stuff. I don't know what to do. Maybe being a sahm is not for me. We are almost halfway to my goal date and still am no closer than before I started.

Day 145-May 25, 2014

Worked on the gifts a little but spent some of the day finishing the deep clean on the house and also went to Hubby's ball game that was here by the house and it was adult ball. He is letting me decide which tournament he takes next weekend because of it being my birthday he is taking to his tournament with him. My mom is going to be watching the kids. I talked to my stepson yesterday trying to find out what he wants in his care package and he said that anything I want to send. That doesn't help me but I asked him if his buddies needed anything. He said there are about a dozen guys that don't get anything because their families can't afford it. I am getting some people togeather to make care packages. Each of the 12 have requested one thing each so in Corey's I am going to send them all the one thing that they have asked for. These guys have my son's back. It is my job to have theirs. I even got a friend request on FB from one of his buddies. That was pretty cool.

Day 144-May 24, 2014

Well I have been slacking off bad. I have been talking to my stepson a lot. I think we have talked more in the last couple of days than we did the entire year before he enlisted. I worked on the gifts a little but still have a lot to do. Then took the girls to the Chattanooga Lookouts game since we had free tickets.

Day 143-May 23, 2014

We got to talk to my stepson on video chat and talked for over an hour. We have also been texting with him and messaging on Facebook. We are having new furniture delivered and getting the living room back in order. Kind of crazy weekend ahead and still have to work on the teachers gifts to give on Tuesday when hubby takes the girls to get their report cards.

Day 142-May 22, 2014

Well, we ended up getting new furniture yesterday so we spend the evening cleaning up the living room and getting everything out of the house. The furniture we had were hand me downs and were not in the best shape and were not comfortable at all and was ugly. We got a full living room suit and I love it. It is being delivered today.

My stepdaughter just had our granddaughter this past weekend and she is doing great. So is stepdaughter. Well, we have not had much contact with my stepson because he is in the Army and deployed but also because his wife was limiting our contact with him and he was complying to keep his wife happy. We left him alone out of respect for the fact that he was trying to make a new marriage work. He was calling us and texting us yesterday and telling us that he missed us and that he wanted to make up with his family and for me to send him a friend request on Facebook. That completely made our day. It is good to have all of our kids back with our newest little addition but back to the grind tonight. Got some things to finish.

Day 141-May 21, 2014

Well, I didn't get the mini block calendars done in time but no worries. They have to be at school on Tuesday to get report cards so they can deliver them then. It will make it more private and more personal that way anyway so I have until the end of the weekend to get them done and I know I can get it done by then. I am off work on Monday and then only work Tuesday through Thursday and then off on Friday for my birthday. Looks like we are going out of town to hubby's tournament for my birthday but that is fine. I like being at the ball field.

Day 140-May 20, 2014

Well, I worked most of the evening on the mini block calendars. I have been also talking to my stepdaughter about our grandbaby. You know, just checking in and seeing how they are doing and if she needs anything. I am wanting to finish them in the next couple of days. I don't know if I will have them finished before the last day of school.

Day 139-May 19, 2014

Well, my husband finally got to see our granddaughter and he is in love with this child. She is such a blessing. I worked more on the mini block calendars and once I an done them I will post pictures but will be looking at some quilting patterns I have. I am going to have a multitude of things to put on my website. I have so many ideas that I think will sell but have to get the items made first. Kids only have three days of school left so I need to finish the items tonight to get them to the teachers in time.

Day 138-May 18, 2014

I am going to get more done on the mini block calendars and only a couple of days to get it done. I am going to get these done. I took my little girls to see me new granddaughter and my stepdaughter. She is absolutely precious. She was born on May 17th at 7:06pm and was 20 inches long and weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces. Here are some pictures. Thought you all would like to see something positive.

Day 137-May 17, 2014

Well, I have the pieces cut out and two of the number blocks completed. I should have both mini block calendars done by the end of the weekend but Monday at the latest. We were on pins and needles today waiting on my granddaughter to be born. She was born at 7:15pm today and is 6 pounds 10 ounces. She is absolutely precious. I am posting a picture of her but will be going to see her and my stepdaughter tomorrow and will get more pictures of her and all the kids.

Day 136-May 16, 2014

Well hubby leaves going out of town this evening. I am going to miss him but it will go fast. My stepdaughter is getting induced tomorrow so we should have a grandbaby this weekend. I will be home with the girls and go to the hospital when she has her. I am making myself get started on the teacher's gifts that I only have less than a week to get done but think I can get them done this weekend since I will be home with nothing to do but hang with the girls. He will be two hours away and said he will face time with us so we have that to look forward to.

Day 135-May 15, 2014

Spent some time with my daughter for her birthday. She is 10 years old. I cannot believe the young lady she is turning into. I am so proud of her. We talked about some things last night and watched some TV and she was taken out by her grandparents for her birthday shopping and to eat. She had a ball and even had field day at school on her birthday. She said she had a good day.

Day 134-May 14, 2014

I spent a little time with my family because we have my daughter's birthday tomorrow and then hubby is waiting on his arrangements for his hotel for the tournament he is doing out of town. It is official. He is a traveling umpire. He is going to be a couple of hours away this weekend and my stepdaughter is being induced this weekend.

Day 133-May 13, 2014

Spent my day working and taking care of my husband. He pulled his hamstring so I made him take it easy. I did get an order but before he pays for it I wanted to see if I could get a pattern for it. I don't have one so I am going to use a pattern that I have and alter it. Something I do often. The customer wants a tissue box cover for his granddaughter's room that is Doc McStuffins and I could not find one anywhere. I do, however, have a tissue box cover where you can put pictures in the sides and I will print the pictures and put in the slots and make the tissue box cover that I have the pattern for. Seems like I am always having to alter patters but that is okay. I like altering them and making them my own and seeing what I can create. I even amaze myself sometimes.

Day 132-May 12, 2014

I worked all day and rested the evening. I was still so tired after the amusement park yesterday. I have been looking at my canvas trying to get motivated to cut the pieces but thinking that I had 2 weeks to do it and was looking at the kids' school calendar and only have a week. That means crunch time and getting my butt in gear. I have to start them soon.

Day 131-May 11, 2014

Well it is Mother's Day. My oldest daughter decided she wanted to go to the local amusement park for her birthday that is the 15th. She will be 10 years old. Well, it being Mother's Day we made a huge day of it for all of us. We had the Mother's Day breakfast at church and presented with gifts and flowers and then headed home to change and get ready for the park. We took my daughter's friend, my youngest daughter, my mom and me and hubby. We walked and rode rides for nearly 6 hours and had a ball. Best day ever! Then to top it off my little ones rode more rides than I thought they would. They even rode rides I wouldn't ride. I was so proud of both my girls. That one day will be my motivation to meet my goal by the end of the year. That is what keeps me going. Time to get on the ball.

Day 130-May 10, 2014

I mailed off the mini block calendar for the contest winner and the tissue box cover from the fundraiser. Then started getting things done for Mother's Day. We have a huge day planned.

Day 129-May 9, 2014

I started planning out my kids gifts for the end of year gifts and plan on starting them soon. They won't take long to make. I am also looking at Father's Day gifts for hubby and going to try to sell limited time product to get the money together for it. I want to get him a grill since the one that he had is long gone. Maybe I can get it in time.

Day 128-May 8, 2014

Well today is a huge day for hubby. He is doing a high school playoff game and me and the kids are going to be there. When I get home tonight I will get the pieces cut out and get started on the mini block calendars for the kids teachers for end of the year gifts. I can't wait to get them started.

Day 127-May 7, 2014

I did a fundraiser for a friend of mine and raised $500 of the $1200 she needed to pay off her mother's funeral. I sold one item but it was a $15 item that sold for $500 just because the person wanted to do something for someone else. It restored my faith in humanity but just wanted to show off my $500 (all of it went to the family so I didn't make any money off of this and am paying for shipping) Tissue Box Cover and then the customer told me that she didn't want to keep it for herself that she is ordering it for a friend. Here it is.

Day 126-May 6, 2014

Hubby and I talked and we decided that I was not going to do the vendor show in August but that he would get me a booth at the flea market and the farmer's market and I could still sell online. He thinks that if I do something like the vendor show now that is only a couple of months away and working with that kind of deadline to get things done might get me too overwhelmed and get me to the point where I am burned out only making product and working my full time job. Maybe he is right. I should have my inventory built up before I start booking things.

Day 125-May 5, 2014

I will be finishing my tissue box cover today and getting it shipped tomorrow. Then I am going to cut the pieces for the mini block calendars for the kids teachers. I had a contest for a free mini block calendar and only on person entered so I will be mailing it to her tomorrow as well. I am thinking about getting a booth at the local flea market or the farmer's market. I don't know about doing the vendor show in August. I have been thinking about different things to do. I still want to sell on my website.

Day 124-May 4, 2014

I spent the day at the ball field with hubby while the girls were with a friend after church. I am so sunburnt and in pain but have to keep on keeping one. I was in bed by 9pm and could not hardly move. I didn't get anything done but tomorrow is a new day.

Day 123-May 3, 2014

I was getting cabin fever so me and the girls went for a drive and spent some time together. We went to get something to eat and watched movies together. It was truly a girls day since hubby had a tournament.

Day 122-May 2, 2014

Well I didn't do much but work on the tissue box cover that only needs to be put together. I spent some time with hubby and the kids watching movies and hanging out. I have been looking at more things to make and am thinking about making block calendars for the kids teachers for the end of the year gifts.

Day 121-May 1, 2014

Here it is the first of May. We are five months in and I am not closer to my goal. I looked at some patterns and also looking at some things that I would like to get the patterns to. I feel so exhausted lately and I don't know why. I am trying to get some sleep tonight but tomorrow it is full on crafting. I have to get some things done in enough time to make sure I have enough to make it worth it.
